I must update this thing more regularly...
So, its been a while (again). We made it to Arkansas, got settled in, and BOUGHT A HOUSE. I'm so happy with my new house. Its got tons of room and a shed in the back yard that's as big as a house. Long gone are the days of tripping over people and no storage space because we have TONS of it now and tons of room. Check back soon to see pictures of it.

Wow, its been a while...
So, its been a LONG while since I posted. We have moved from Alaska (me= kicking and screaming) and are back in Arkansas. The trip was stressful but we made it. It was beautiful, I got quite a few decent pictures.
First 3 days worth of pictures...(not all of course LOL)

Fourth and fifth days..

So I didnt take any pictures on the 6th day. I was exhausted and there was nothing but fields and fields and fields....YAWN
Our final few days worth of pictures include Yellowstone and parts of Wyoming.

Pardon the sideways pictures LOL.
Thats about it. The trip was stressful but fun. I hope we can take another family trip again soon, without all the stress.

Been a while...
Oh man where do I start. Well not only are we NOT going to Japan, we also are not going anywhere else. Hubby is being medically seperated. I am beyond devastated. We had (ok I had) so many ideas, so many plan and that is all gone. The guaranteed paycheck in the economy that is in the gutters gutter is gone. Sure we get severance, sure he gets a disability rating, sure he can get unemployment BUT that all will not cover our bills. When we found out it was like a kick to the gut. It is just absolutely devastating. So not only am I stressed from that I am still recovering from my spinal fusion I had back in January.
The fusion went GREAT, I felt 100% just 2 weeks after the surgery. My Neurosurgeon was just shocked, he only wished his other patients outcomes were the same. After my 6 WEEK checkup, my thighs started to get numb, then horrific pain. The pain is still there but about 90% less than what it was at peek. My back is doing great! I still have aches and pains due to the nature of the surgery, but I expected this. The incision healed up pretty good. Doctor had to cut my tattoo right down the center. It is a see no evil frog LOL. Poor frog saw some evil, I bet the doctors and nurses got a good laugh out of it. I remember them waking me up in the OR after surgery and THE first question out of my mouth was "Did you put my frog back together?" HAHA. I asked my doc at my 6week checkup when should I expect 100% absolute fusion, and he told me about 6 months so July'ish I should be tip top.
The kids are doing good. CJ is excited that we are going back home. He isnt a fan of having to bundle up EVERY day in snow gear just to go to school. My daughter is upset, she loves it here, just like me, and she is going to miss her school friends.
Oh man my kids couldnt be any more different. CJ absolutely HATES school, is constantly in trouble, and hardly ever finishes any school work. Shelly absolutely LOVES school, rarely in trouble, and finishes her homework before she even gets home. She wants to be a surgeon when she gets older so she is on the right path.
So, we are headed to Arkansas sometime this summer. Im not quite sure when as we havent gotten our orders yet. We will be staying in Little Rock with my dad so that Rich can find a job in the city. I am not looking forward to it AT ALL. I never wanted to end up a "townie" and never leave. I am forever greatful to the opportunities that the military has provided us. I just wish it could continue.
Toodles for now...Me

Yea, no good news really
So.we are not going to Japan *pout* But I see the bright side, I get to see
one more winter here in Alaska. Technically we aren't even leaving Alaska
anytime soon. Hubby is being put under a MEB. We might know something
about it in about.ohhh.February. No biggie for me cause I love it here, but
the hubbys shop stresses him to no end. Plus the "whats next" when the
final question is answered. Does he stay in or do they kick him to the
curb?
I had my discogram today. (Discogram is when they stab ya in the back with
needles, pressurize the disc and see if the pain response is that of your
normal everyday pain or OMFG IT HURTS.) They done this at L4/L5 and at
L5/S1. L4/5 was normal pain that I endure daily but at L5/S1 I was
screaming and crying and wanted off the table. I seem to remember (I was
half sedated) them saying that it was fractured and leaking, so im assuming
that disc has ruptured. What this means..L5/S1 spinal fusion. They
haven't told me this straight up yet, but that was the point of us doing the
discogram and since it was positive im sure that is where im headed. If so,
I plan on having it done as soon as possible that way we aren't going to be
in the process of moving during recovery. I don't look forward to the next
few days of soreness from this procedure.
Nothing else to report.I don't think.

Daughter turns 9
Wow, where has the time gone. My precious lil baby is 9. She got to spend her birthday money frivolously, she got tons of barbies, and a Wii game. I made her a pretty pink birthday cake, and her bubba, daddy, and I decorated it. Bubba sang happy birthday, and she served the cake. She had a great day. Most of the important people called and wished her a happy birthday. There are still a few that have yet to call, and it really hurt her feelings. Out of sight, out of mind I guess.
She had a blast tho, and I wouldnt have it any other way.
